Supported Missions
![]() NEW ADVENTURES IN MISSIONS
A.I.M is an organization that promotes missions especially to young people. It provides a way for young adults to have the opportunity to visit other cultures and witness to them about Christ.
A.I.M. is located on a campground east of Bloomfield at Beachwood Lake. The campgrounds have been renovated in the last few years. The buildings have been winterized so that families and groups can have retreats and other special events there.
Lincoln started supporting A.I.M. in 2003 with $100 a month. You can learn more about what the mission is doing and how you can get involved by helping with a trip or helping on the campgrounds in the summertime.
Find more information on their web site at www.newadventures.org or watch for their newsletter on the mission bulletin board.

CAMP ILLIANA
Camp Illiana has been providing a place for kids to go for summer church camp for over 50 years. Now it has grown to include much more than summer church camp.
The fall schedule includes these activities.
The church will pay the camp tuition for any young person that wants to attend camp at Illiana.
OSAKA CHRISTIAN MISSION, JAPAN
It was back in 1948 that George and Ethel Beckman went to Osaka, Japan to help evangelize Japan after the ending of the war. Eventually, George became a teacher in the Osaka Bible Seminary. He taught there until his health failed. He went to be with the Lord in April, 1997.
The Beckmans raised their four children in Japan and it became their home. Their youngest daughter, Jenann, stayed in Japan with her parents. Their daughter, Ruth and her family is also in Japan. The other children are in the United States.
We received word that Ethel passed away on August 7, 2005. She was 88 years old.
George and Ethel gave their lives to the evangelism of Japan. We are very grateful that they did and that we were a part of it.

CHRISTIAN CONTENDER
OPEN ARMS CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES, SWITZ CITY
Lincoln has been a supporter of Open Arms Christian Ministries from it's beginning in 1985. Terry Helderman has served on the board for several years. Linda Campbell has been employed there for 20 years. The programs that are going on changes but the mission and purpose stays the same.
From 1985-1992 there was only a group home for girls on the campus at Switz City. In 1993 a foster care program was started. Christian parents were trained and licensed to provide loving and stable homes to children who needed them.
In 2003 Open Arms took over the administration of the Greene County Youth Alternatives that had to close the year before because of financial problems. The school provides alternative education to students who need to make up credits or cannot function in a traditional educational setting. Adults can take classes to prepare for their GED.
In April 2005, a second school was started in Sullivan, so the name was changed to Turning Point Education Center.
Lincoln supports OACM with $2900 a year.
